Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

You'll need to pay your first month's rent and your security deposit at the outset of your lease. Please check the amounts with us in advance. We cannot release your keys without these funds.

Move-in Date & Inspection

Your official move-in date and inspection information will be provided for you at the lease signing.

Utilities

Utility accounts for your rental home need to be placed in your name. Please take care of this immediately after moving into the property to avoid losing access to your utilities.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

If you're planning to move out of your rental home, you'll need to provide us with notice of your intent to vacate the premises. Please refer to your lease for the specific terms and conditions regarding the end of your stay with us.

Property Condition

Your home needs to be brought back to rent-ready condition before you return the keys to us. This includes addressing the following:

  • Rental Cleaning: Your rental home should be thoroughly cleaned, with all of your possessions removed from the property. Please dispose of trash and garbage and clean every room in the home; pay special care to bathroom and kitchen spaces, which need to be sanitized thoroughly.
  • Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you have outdoor living space, you'll need to take care of any landscaping chores once more before vacating the premises.
  • Repairs: If any damage occurred during your stay with us, please take the necessary steps to make repairs in your rental unit. Patch nail and screw holes, repair broken glass, and replace any burnt light bulbs.

Security Deposit

Your security deposit covers any damage left behind, fees, or other outstanding balances on your account. Please remember, you cannot use these funds to cover your final rent check.

After we conduct our final inspection, we will return the deposit to you. If any damage is identified, we'll make repairs and deduct these expenses from the deposit.
